Bernard O. Williams, PhD

Professor Williams is President of the Center for Environmental Energy Medicine Studies in Lawrence, Kansas and Associate Professor in the Energy Medicine/Spiritual Healing program of the Holos University Graduate Seminary, Fairview, Missouri. He has also recently served as Chair of the Energy Medicine Program, Greenwich University, Norfolk Island, Australia. In these capacities, he has chaired a wide range of Doctorate and Master degree research projects in energy medicine and spiritual healing. He also teachers Cultural and Physical Geography at the University of Kansas, and until recently taught courses in the History of Science at the Kansas City Art Institute.

Dr. Williams' personal researches in the history of science have ranged from physiological and psychological investigations of mind to the earliest circuit designs for electronic digital computers. His special interests are epistemology, research methods, and the history of spiritual alchemy and physical chemistry. He served as a technical editor for Joseph Helm's textbook, Acupuncture Energetics, A Clinical Approach for Physicians and for Konstantin Korotkov's books; Human Energy Field; Study with GDV Bioelectrography and also Measuring Energy Fields: State of the Science.

As a part of his teaching duties in the energy medicine graduate programs, Berney has guided a number of Doctorate research projects using Konstantin Korotkov's Gas Discharge Visualization techniques. Dr. Williams is a Certified GDV instrument user, operator and trainer; as well as a Certified GDV Researcher and a Plenipotentiary member for the USA of the International Union of Medical and Applied Bioelectrography, where he serves on the Editorial Board of the GDV Bioelectrography Series. One of his more recent publications is co-authored with Konstantin Korotkov and Leonard A. Wisneski; "Assessing Biophysical Energy Transfer Mechanisms in Living Systems: The Basis of Life Processes," in the February, 2004, issue of the Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine.

Dr. Williams is a member of the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine, where he serves on the Task Force on New Healing Technologies. Recent invited lectures presented by Dr. Williams include: "Theory Building in Energy Medicine" Psychic Studies Institute, Kansas City, Missouri, 2004; "Science at the Outer Limits: Whorfian Relativity as Cultural Heresy," in an Invited Panel: Another Dangerous Idea: Linguistic Relativity and Consciousness in the Human Sciences, presented by the Society for the Anthropology of Consciousness at the American Anthropological Association, Chicago, Illinois, 2003; and "Historical Roots of the Authoritarian Model of Medical Intervention," on the Theme Panel, The Co-Creation Process in Energy Medicine; the Synergy of the Sciences and Healing Arts; Twelfth Annual ISSSEEM Conference, Boulder, Colorado, 2002.
